We team up with a select number of college admissions offices to offer access and scheduled visits for you and your family. It is common and even expected that parents be part of visits to their children's prospective colleges. After all, after we help you book your trip, parents act as a chaperone for overnight visits and more. Parents can help be alert without smothering, help take notes, and ask questions that prompt critical reflection. Let us help you in the best way possible with this very important process.
Plan ahead
We recommend you to start visiting colleges during your child's junior (G11) or senior year (G12) of high school. By then they should have a clearer idea of their own interests and future goals.
We offer planned itineraries, excursions, transportation to/from locations, and more. It is very helpful that students have an idea of where they are considering to go study. At the same time, we do realize many do not.
We can help serve as a 'college counselor,' by looking at high school transcripts, TOEFL/IELTS scores, and portfolios. We gain a better picture by interviewing prospective students, hearing firsthand from them in English, and family about what they truly want. With this important data, we are better able to offer you the best insight and options available. After this process, your child will have a better idea about where their future 3-4 years of study will be. The next logical step would be to schedule a college visit and see for yourself. We look at a college's Open House dates and even schedule more formal visits.
